… thing about what you are going to do for someone else this Christmas.
We are into November, and our minds turn to Christmas planning. And while thinking about handmade, recycling, cutting waste, I’m also trying to think about how to make someone else’s Christmas a little brighter.
Perusing the www the other day, I was reminded of Operation Christmas Child and packing a shoe box. No.1 did this last year with his kindergarten class. (He was a little concerned, at the time, that I took a whole bag of stuff in, I said I didn’t think they would mind how much stuff I bought in)
- So the first thing I am doing, is packing some shoe boxes. Operation Christmas Child is run by Samaritan’s Purse across the world. For Australia go here, international here.
- Don’t forget Softies for Mirabel that Pip is organising. You have until December to get your softie in.
- I have used Oxfam Unwrapped for the past couple of years as part of gifts for friends or as part of the placecards at the Christmas table. They have funny cards you can match to the people on your gift list.
- There are always causes like the Kmart wishing tree
- Maybe make a donation to Kiva
- Or share some karma over at Karma Currency {via Inside Out}

Hello! I'm Kellie and here I collect inspiration ~ beautiful photos, words on creativity, lovely printables and handmade items. I love autumn, cameras, and of course, the colour lime.
Those are some wonderful projects. Thanks for sharing them!
Last night we went to Kohl’s to buy a present for my mother-in-law.
On the way out I saw a nice rack of stuffed animals (very soft) with a stand of children’s books next to it.
If you buy both items for $10, Kohl’s donates the entire amount of $10 to charity. Last year they donated millions.
