Whoosh! The sound of another frenetic week passing by.
Needless to say, I have nought to show for my efforts this week. Too busy working, catching up and doing mundane chores. This photo represents my life at the moment ~ I need to write everything down. So from the bottom, my ideas notebook, the red notebook is for our design business and on top is my diary. I carry all of these around, everywhere, along with the pencil case full of stabilo pens [mainly in an effort to feel arty].
Also, scraps of lists. Again, cause if I don’t write it down …
But on a more positive note, two things to share that I have “created” [disclaimer ~ there is a meat dish ahead]

First up, I made this no oven-baked lemon slice at the start of the week. It turned out great and the famiy love it [as evidenced by the fact there is not much left]. And it really wasn’t that hard. I’ve never made anything like it before so I was started with some trepidation but it was really quite simple. [And I got to use lemons from the backyard tree ~ makes me feel virtuous].

Second, I made meatloaf for dinner one night in an attempt to find something else to cook with mince. There is only so much bolognaise a mum can take. I made something simliar when the boys were little which was eaten with little fuss but I knew this time might be a bit different. It started off with the same broken record ~ yuck, i don’t like this, what is it ~ before they tucked in and ended up going back for THIRDS. That’s a keeper.
Pop on over to Kirsty’s and her lovely new space for some more bursts of creativity.

Hello! I'm Kellie and here I collect inspiration ~ beautiful photos, words on creativity, lovely printables and handmade items. I love autumn, cameras, and of course, the colour lime.
I will definitely be trying those lemon bars. I have a similar recipe with peanut butter and chocolate, but lemon great!
Yum – meatloaf is a good idea – might try it too!
Thanks for the meat warning! Sounds like you need a list to keep track of where all your lists are. Hope you get to cross some stuff off today.
It all looks wonderful. Your photos are stunning!
I now feel extremely dissatisfied with my tea and toast. Hmph! : )
These shots are just wonderful. I love visiting your space Kellie.
The lemon slice looks divine!
I am hearing the same ‘Whoosh’ sound over hear Kellie. I fear I will hear one big WHOOSH and I’ll be kissing my husband into 2010!
Writing things down is such a good idea and a great way to reduce stress. While sometimes the lists can be stressful, to forget something is worse.
Thanks for the recipe links. Yum and yum.
I love edible creativity, that lemon slice certainly does look deeeeelicious.
Mmm, haven’t had meatloaf in a while. Now I’m thinking about it for this week.
I have to write everything down too. This week, with all my busy-ness, I’ve been making lists upon lists, everywhere possible. Now I just have to manage to keep track of all the lists….
I love those stabilo pens! Aren’t they fabulous? Such fine clean lines. Your cooking goodies look great too

Your photos are always so beautiful. Yummy looking lemon slice there.
carrying something that promises a little creativity is priceless with weeks like these {and at least you are making lovely things with your camera} . . . am searching for new food ideas for the kids, am sure they’d love the lemon slice
The slices look lovely – I don’t think they’d last long in our house either! Great idea for the meatloaf – spag bol in our house does get somewhat tedious! x
yum!
