{my camera collection}
You know at first I thought, I don’t really collect anything. Then I took a look around and … hmm, whadda you know.
Well first, is an obvious. They are a few, several, OK SIX vintage cameras lying around these parts. I cleverly spread them around the house so it doesn’t look like so many. I’m busted now.
I really only started collecting them this year after getting back into photography. It started with the hunt for a working polaroid camera, then a camera for TTV, and then people started giving me their old cameras. Look ~ a collection.
What I haven’t photographed [yet] are a myriad of other collections including, but not limited to,:
- the magazine collection ~ both interiors and cooking. [We shan't go there today, Hubby is probably still in shock over the number of cameras]
- the vintage tea cups
- and the vintage bowls and other bits of crockery
- the children’s drawings I can’t yet part with
- the books, not to mention the cookbooks
- lots of pencils ~ which are unsharpened, so are really only serving a decorative purpose
- quite a ribbon stash really
- CDs, yep we still buy them, I like the tangibilty of a CD.
- and there is a collection of tapes ~ remember those.
I should probably quite while I’m ahead?? Before Hubby suggests another clean out!
More great collections over at Pip’s. Thanks to the great collector Kate for the theme.

Hello! I'm Kellie and here I collect inspiration ~ beautiful photos, words on creativity, lovely printables and handmade items. I love autumn, cameras, and of course, the colour lime.
wow, wow, wow!!
what a great collection you have there.
I have a small..ok, not so small I guess… collection aswell but seeing it is at my mum’s house I thought I’d leave that for another time.
I like your taste in collections Ms Kellie
I think my heart rate just sped up a little. Seriously
Lovely cameras – I have almost all of the collections (in various sizes) you have as well. I hadn’t really thought of my mags as a collection – more like a growing mountain of goodness that I can’t bear to part with!
Great collection! I have two vintage cameras and would love to have more when we have a bigger home with more space for that sort of thing. I’d love a real Polaroid too!
Ha ha, I’ve got more vintage cameras than I care to admit! Problem is most of mine don’t work and don’t look nearly as pretty as yours.
There’s nothing like a vintage camera! I collect them to hand over to my daughter who has quite a collection of Polaroids and others. Would love to see your vintage China.
That photo is great! Looks like a lineup of robots in some sort of 80′s sci fi movie.
They say that any more than 2 is a collection…hmmmm maybe I have more than I thought. They are very funky looking cameras – and yep still got a case full of cassettes and records.
Oh the fun I could have with these! I steered clear of my magazine collection too for fear of drawing unwanted attention from not-at-all-understanding other halves..
