Well, it has been a busy and exciting week here at 74 Lime Lane.
First of all there was the launch of the shop. [I said last week I had set myself a soft deadline of December 1. And the Vic pointed out that as I had told everyone, that made me accountable. Bravo, she said. And that's when I went, *&%!, December 1 is Tuesday. But, thanks to her encouragement, I got myself into gear and managed it. So thank you Vic!]

{and he took this pic too}
Then there was the first sale ~ thank you Elk. Hubby bought me flowers [ain't he sweet] and we drank champagne.

I have also been working on a little download project for elsewhere in blogland. So while I don’t want to give the game away, here’s a sneak peek. This has kept me busy creating this week.

And while I didn’t create the items in this picture, I helped, by feeding and watering. Backyard produce being turned in to vegie slice. I use this recipe here [although I usually do away with the whole onion-bacon thing to speed it up, add carrot, garlic and whatever else takes my fancy in the crisper. And despite the name "veggie slice", my kids gobble it up!]
With the opening of the shop there is a giveaway for a 74 Lime Lane gift pack with mini prints, postcards and a print ~ winner’s choice. Go here to enter.
And of course an opening special ~ free 5×7 print with every order until Christmas Eve.
Lots more creating through the creative space portal at Kirsty’s.

Oh My God hon – I have tears in my eyes from laughing at the irony of it all!
You get your butt into gear because I tell you that you are accountable as you’ve told everyone, yet I can’t be assed finishing some dolls I KEEP telling everone I’m going to finish…
Bravo again though, your shop is looking spiffy! I was so happy to see you’d had your first sale already when I was over having a peruse!

I had decided I wasn’t going to give myself any time frame for my shop because I didn’t want to add stress to my life, but I eventually realized if I didn’t have some sort of deadline, I’d keep putting it off. It was amazing how quickly it all pulled together once I set and announced a date. Funny creatures, aren’t we?

Blogging about something certainly seems to:
a) inspire you to do what you planned
b) encourage you to do what you planned
c) make you accountable for what you have planned
d) make you stress because now you’ve gome and told everyone
e) makes things happen!
Congrats on the store Kellie. Definately worth flowers and champagne.
