lime link love

There is a marvelous peace in not publishing. Publishing is a terrible invasion of my privacy. I like to write. I love to write. But I write just for myself and my own pleasure.” ~ J.D. Salinger in an interview with The New York Times in 1974

time flies …

{image for February calendar ~ the month of love}

Well the kids are back at school, and February is right around the corner. So here is the 74 Lime Lane February calendar ~ can you believe it, before the end of January even! That organisation resolution is kicking in somewhere.

It comes in two sizes – A4 to hang up, A5 to perhaps fit in a diary. I stopped  doing the DL sizes, but if you want them let me know and I’ll add them back in.

Hope you find it useful – as always feedback is welcome. All are pdfs ~ right-click on the link and Save Target/Link As.

Free for personal use, also feel free to share the bloggy love, just link back to this post. Thanks!

friday freebie

In our fair land down under, as I have previously mentioned, it’s back to school time. This week and next week, parents all over the country breathe a sigh of relief, tinged with a little disappointment, that the summer holidays are over and the littlies, and big ‘uns have headed back to school.

This year my second {and last} heads off to big school, which is very exciting {particularly for me!}, which means the making of lots of new little friends. So this week’s download is inspired for all those mums and dads  heading back to school, too ~ calling card.

These calling cards have a spot to put the small one’s name, your names, vital contact details and anything else. You can use them as an editable pdf ~ where you call it up and type in the information yourself [nb. the information will automatically transfer itself to all the cards in one go] or just print and write your details on. I strived for a unisex version but ended up with a green/blue space theme for the boys and green/pink butterflies for the girls. Doesn’t mean you need to stick with the theme though!

They are designed for the Avery business card template [C32016] but you could just print and trim as well. Just right click on the links below and select Save As.

I’ll have calendar for February up later today, too. {can you believe January is almost over?!}

For personal use only, feel free to share but please link back to this post.

my creative space

Isn’t it great to be back? School’s back, routines are back, creative space is back.

The 74 Lime Lane household is dragging its way back into routine, both blog and family alike. No.1 returns to school today, #2 starts “big school” tomorrow. There has been a frantic rush of shopping new school shoes and lunchboxes and pulling out of uniforms. And some baking to fill those lunchboxes.

We’ve had a little renovation here at 74 Lime Lane and moved some of the furniture around. Nothing drastic. A work in progress.

With some semblance of routine, and two children at school, I am looking forward to getting back into things. I am currently doing the BYW class so making lots of notes and lists at the moment. As well, writing lots of things down in an effort to be organised, or at least appear so, or perhaps delude myself into thinking so.

This past week, we have spent time “creating” memories. Schedules mean we rarely venture far from home. But without the constraints of time, we have gone where the mood has taken us.

Like for a walk to the gardens to play cards.

A drive to the cool of the mountains.

Exploring.

Late afternoon walks to the park.

In between, I am working on some Valentine’s Day projects inspired by this. Gotta love bokeh! More soon.

Meanwhile, you can get this one here.

More creative spaces over at Kootoyoo’s new home!

ps. If you are dropping by, you might see that little link at the top right. I was {amazingly} nominated for a Poppies award. Up against some huge names, and some of my favourite blogs in fact. Very daunting. But if you haven’t yet voted, and feel inclined, could swing by and pop a vote in the ballot box for moi?
