paper trail ~ back to school

Here in Australia the children are heading back to school for the start of the school year. So it’s shopping time for new school supplies. There’s nothing like a stack of fresh exercise books and bundles of freshly sharpened pencils to kick off the new year.

Vintage-style exercise books by O-check from Notemaker.

Penguin book inspired pencils pack  from Shop Until.

An apple for the teacher ~ pack of apple memo post-its from Narayabags.

Groovy 5-tab notebook from Kikki K

Keep them organised with this reusuable and tough school folder from Ragged Edge Gear

lime light: little mary moo

Well it’s Australia Day here down under, the day we celebrate the founding of our land girt by sea, so it seemed fitting to have an Australian seller today for lime light.

So using Etsy’s Shop Local feature, I came across the shop of Little Miss Mary Moo ~ adorable purses and bags. Check it out if you are looking for a little purse for a lovely little girl in your life who might be heading back to school, or perhaps pick up a sweet little cosmetic bag for yourself.

um, wow and a favour, please

I got a rather surprising email on the weekend from Poppytalk. Someone nominated me in their handmade artist blog award for The Poppies. First up, wow. Second of all, have you seen the competition!

So thank you to whoever nominated me, and so far I’ve popped over so thank you to the three people who have already voted for moi!

But, if you haven’t yet voted, it would be rather lovely if you could swing by here and vote for me. I’m easy to find, just near the top of the list. You have until Friday.

in the neighbourhood: one sydney road

So this is the start of a new feature at 74 Lime Lane. Each week I’ll feature a favourite or new-to-me blog. {And this is a great one to kick it off seeings it is also an address for its address like mine!}

So today I want to introduce you to Piper from one sydney road. Piper is a new bloggy friend of mine, and you can find out a few random things about her here. I found this lovely blog when Piper commented on my blog. A great way to find new reads.

Piper features some great finds at one sydney road and also is running a great series this called Shake It Up. If  you need to move out of a bit of a creative rut, I suggest you pop by.

getting the house in order

So if you look around you may notice a few small changes here at 74 Lime Lane. Hopefully we have worked out all the kinks and I apologise if you popped by and things were a little hinky today.

But we are done playing for the moment. We’ve moved somethings around, changed the header, and added a weekly line-up {see “the pulp” down there on the right}. [I like schedules and order, it keeps me on track].

Still to come will be a new page for a blog roll and a new page for the downloads. So keep an eye out for that.

Let me know if you have any feedback or encounter any of the dreaded 404 pages.
