Well, this week, it’s all about … um. The problem: lots of things to do, lots of things I want to do, plenty of time {now sans kids from 9 till 3 weekdays}, but I can’t get anything done.
Intertia.
My ideas are a great big jumble in my head. I have completely lost anything resembling an attention span. But I feel, once I get it done on paper, the world will magically fall in to place.I had great plans for showing projects in progress today.
And instead I just have this.
Hoping that it’s true ~ from little things big things grow.
Here endeth the creative confessional.
Head over to Kootoyoo’s where I am sure there is a whole lot more going on.

1. cotton, 2. pinecone, 3. apple, 4. love, 5. from little things
ps. this has, unintentionally, become part of a series of “simplicity” shots. I might put them together as a series and pop them in the shop soon.

Hello! I'm Kellie and here I collect inspiration ~ beautiful photos, words on creativity, lovely printables and handmade items. I love autumn, cameras, and of course, the colour lime.
I LOVE the simplicity series & it really is true…
from little things big things grow.
I subscribe to that theory too. As well as the one small step at a time, fly by the seat of your pants, wing and a prayer theories. And those shots make a beautiful series.
oh boy, are we talking the same language right now! so many ideas and so many things i’d like to do…but not enough time in the day (or enough focus in my brain
! but like you said, i really think from little things big things grow…
I know this feeling too. We probably all do at times. Give yourself some space today and things will naturally fall into place. I’m trying to be kinder to myself and not have too many expectations. Love the acorn shots xo
Yep – know the feeling – I normally clean and/or bake when this happens to me. But more often that not, starting something, anything will help – as you say, from little things, big things grow. Good luck and love the pics! Nic
The Simplicity series looks great. I am sure that you will be working on all your ideas soon enough.
i like this series. hopefully it’s the inertia before the production storm?
xx
i love all the photos together at the bottom…you are creative…and therefore your mind will always be full of hopes and ideas!!
I really love these photos Kellie, I love the simplicity too. I think they might be my favourite of your photos yet.
They are very striking in their simplicity Kellie. I like them a lot.
I love this post, Kellie, and I love the photos. I totally understand the feeling of inertia. The good news is, it’s very clear you’ve still got “it,” just have to find a way to get “it” going again. Good luck!
As usual your photographs are just divine. It must be so weird and wonderful having all that time without children to craft with?
Gorgeous shots! Funny how we were all thinking we’d have so much time and get so much done when the littles went back to school, when in reality 9 – 3 is not a very long time once you take out all the day to day chores. I reckon get ridof the expectation, do somethhing you know always works to get the juices flowing and then just when you least expect it…the big things will grow.
Wow…beautiful photos!
Ok – can I just copy your text into my creative space, for say the past three weeks!?
I’ve been sitting on all these ideas, thoughts, hopes. I’m having so much trouble getting anything started. And, yes – to have to stop in time to be at school again at 3pm {and one can’t be late for the little prep kids, who come out the door with expectant little eyes searching for their mama’s face}.
I love your photos, your words.
Let’s hope next Thursday we both have something better to show for our creative inertia.
Oh but I LOVE them! So beautifully done. I totally understand about this inertia immediately following school return (I always think mums need a rest/holiday after school holidays!). You’re recharging – it’ll be alright
Kx
Hmm – I read this and thought “I wrote that post”! I imagined that once school and kinder resumed, I’d be ready to get straight back into it. Oh well, at least the kitchen has enjoyed it’s overhaul and the garden’s looking prettier!
ooh i like this pics, really like the use of space
love these photographs!
