lime light: eco inspired

I came across the work of Karen from Eco Inspired on the DUST forum and was instantly taken by the striking simplicity of her work. I love the beautiful colours in her range, not to mention the fact she uses eco-friendly fibres.

From her profile: “I screen-print nature/coastal inspired designs onto hemp/organic cotton canvas. The fabric is available to be purchased by the fat quarter or larger quantities by yardage.”

Karen also sews a selection of homewares from her fabrics for her shop.

in the neighbourhood: oh my! handmade goodness

I found this lovely new blog via Whitney. Oh my! Handmade Goodness describes itself as “a community for independent children’s retailers & the hip parents who support them” but the blog also focuses on helping small business.

The blog features a lovely, clean design and their posts on “what we know for sure” are a fantastic read for small business operators. This site promises to be a great resource.

sunday zest

Hubby and I celebrated our wedding anniversary this weekend where the traditional gift was steel. As we both like to cook, I surprised him with some pans from the Scanpan range. I expect him to be cooking up a storm in the near future. So today, steel yourself {ha, ha} because sunday zest is all about gifts to celebrate that milestone.

  1. Steel saute pan from Scanpan
  2. Happy Couple silverware art display from Forked Up Art
  3. Geek necklace from Morphologica
  4. Bottle opener fridge magnet from Suck UK
  5. Pantone cufflinks available at Shop Until

friday freebie ~ milestones and a giveaway

Today marks a milestone here at 74 Lime Lane ~ 500 posts. This is number 500 and to celebrate I’m going to giveaway a little surprise package. Mainly a surprise because I don’t know what maybe in it yet, but also a surprise because I think i will tailor it to the winner as well. But it will include some photos {natch} and perhaps some linens, and some other goodies I found while cleaning out the linen closet. Maybe a magazine. Whatever it is, it will {hopefully} be a lovely little package for the winner to receive.

All you have to do is leave a comment here to go in to the random.org draw. But also to celebrate, I have included a little download of a pdf of two notecards with the above photo on them. Just print, trim and fold. Get them here.
