to market, to market

We made our way to the local fortnightly farmer’s market this morning. Lots of fresh produce, breads, preserves.

We came home with two bags of apples – granny smith (pictured above in the bowl I bought for $3 at a charity shop this week) and royal galas – a big butternut pumpkin and a leek for this soup, small onions for this favourite, strawberries for eating and some wonderful pumpkin sour dough bread.
