When looking around and thinking of “special stuff”, I tend to think of “what would I grab in a fire” kind of stuff.
The conclusion ~ not much. The family, the dog, of course. But what else?
Photos ~ something else that cannot be replaced. Of course, in this digital age, my photos exist on the computer, and the thing I would grab be the plain looking back-up drive that sits on the desk (plain maybe, but it does an excellent job and if it was a little more photogenic that it would be appearing at the top of this post). Of course I would also have to empty out the shelves that hold these, in a shoebox naturally, photos of my childhood. There is also our wedding album, school albums and a couple of travel albums. Photos from before the digital age. There is still something very special about sitting on the floor, sifting through the photos of another place and time.
