Happy Thursday. Hope you are having a creative week. So far, week one of my project holiday calendar has been going well. On Tuesday I tackled the biggest chore of my break ~ our taxes. Thankfully, they are now crossed off the list which left yesterday, free and clear for photo play day. Unfortunately the sky wasn’t free and clear and the weather put a bit of dampener on things {figuratively and literally}. However, one thing you can’t plan is when inspiration strikes, and unfortunately it wasn’t lighting any fires for me yesterday.

However, I did get somethings done. I played around with Ttv photography. This is the contraption for my camera ~ done with my usual finesse, it is lacking in a few technical points but I already have a plan B ~ and my initial attempts. I have some funny curve on the right which I am not sure if it is the contraption or the camera.
I went for a walk in the gardens looking for some inspiration. Inbetween seasons though and on a miserable day, it is not the ideal spot to find inspiration either. Although I did manage to catch {as in with the camera} two butterflies, which was a bit of a highlight.

And then I went for a little shop therapy, looking for some props for a long-term project. But with inspiration lacking, what’s a girl to do ~ make a new notebook for brainstorming ideas for said project. It also gave me a chance to use a new toy I bought the other week on sale at Officeworks ~ a long-arm stapler perfect for small notebooks. Another project booked into the holiday calendar for next week.
For today though, the plan is some web surfing and getting a bit creative cleaning up the study.

Hello! I'm Kellie and here I collect inspiration ~ beautiful photos, words on creativity, lovely printables and handmade items. I love autumn, cameras, and of course, the colour lime.

Good for you for getting the taxes out of the way! Too bad weather and inspiration won’t allow themselves to be controlled, although I think your photos are still lovely!
Your photos are always fabulous girl!!! Love the DOF….Hope you get that contraption working, lovin’ the dandelion
really lovely photos and hope the experience of being outside and seeking beauty was a happy one…
what creative fun here kellie..good job on the TTV
I think that we all have our moments when we are lacking the creative inspiration or maybe it’s procrastination. Looks like you had fun with you photography though.
Lovely photos
the grey blah {at the start of the season} seems to take creative energy away. . . i love the image on the top right.
glad you are getting through a few tasks even if you’re not feeling super creative
Your photos are simply as gorgeous as ever.
I often wonder how photographers take photos over our dark and gloomy winters. Loving yours as always.
kellie, i know that some peoples strength are others weakness but boy i wish i could take photos like yours. i tried to photograph butterflies recently and it was impossible. you are a master at your trade
Yippeee for getting taxes out of the way. I love your newest collection of photos, stunning.
Ooh great for you to get the taxes out of your way (I wish I did mine already =P)
Your photos are beautiful!
Your photos are just stunning, Kellie. And I’m loving the idea of a long-arm stapler…off to google myself a Mother’s Day pressie!
Your Ttv photos came out really good. Your first contraption looks good. I think the arc is from the contraption. Mine had a funny diagonal line at bottom until I shifted the contraction around a bit. I still need to re-work mine it is hard to hold everything and take the photo. I took a circle of foam board and cut a square to match the view finder out. Then wrapped it in a sheet of poster board. I’m thinking round three is going to be with a foam sheet I found and a band to hold it to the camera. Great job!
