This weekend marks the start of the 2010 World Cup, an event ~ in our house at least ~ which has been eagerly awaited for, ooh, the four years since the last World Cup.
My Hubby is a big football fan {and yes, despite the fact here in Australia it is commonly referred to as “soccer”, in our house it is always referred to as the more traditional, and purist term, “football”}.
As each four years passes, of course our two boys get that little bit older, that little more interested in what is going on.
So with that in mind, here is a quick round-up of some World Cup themed ideas floating around the www at the moment.
- The official FIFA site is here
- Tour the stadiums of the 2010 World Cup in South Africa at Abduzeedo
- Wear your patriotic pride on our iPhone with cases from Uncommon Collections. The collection has all 32 qualifying team and four general designs. Cases will be knocked out of the collection as they are knocked out of the tournament.
- Geography, flags and the world cup ~ Nicole weaves a little bit of learning in with a love of the world game at Planning with Kids
- More cup-themed activities and crafts at Activity Village
- Smashing Magazine has desktop wallpapers and links for tournament planners for fans.

Hello! I'm Kellie and here I collect inspiration ~ beautiful photos, words on creativity, lovely printables and handmade items. I love autumn, cameras, and of course, the colour lime.
Thanks for the link up Kellie. Have to check these ones out!
I sent yellow & green M&Ms to my Aussie friends that are living overseas so they can chow on Aussie colours while they’re watching the Cup.
