Something a little different today ~ instead of the usual 74 ways to be inspired, I’m sharing inspiration gleaned from a new tool ~ Pinterest ~ and the idea of home, part of the pin it forward blog hop organised by Victoria from sfgirlbybay. I’m picking the baton up from Sunny, who shared what homes mean to her yesterday, and am passing it on to fellow Aussie Francesca at Maybe Next Week.
So basically I have spent the past month or so thinking about what home means to me. And this is what I came up with. {click on the link to go to my pinboard to find the sources of the photos}
Love and family ~ I’ve been blessed with a loving, supportive husband and two energetic and healthy boys. Home is wherever they are.
Happiness ~ whether it be the tap of keys, the sound of music playing, a corner to curl up in and read.
We love ~ our lazy pup, playing mario games, taking photos, being surrounded by our favourite things.
Inspiration ~ I love being surrounded by clippings, photographs, invitations, reminders, children’s artwork. We have so many intentional and unintentional collections of paper around the house ~ on the fridge, next to the phone, over the desk. Even the children have favourite pictures of Mario characters or cartoons in little gatherings above a bed or on a wall. Probably why I love sites like Pinterest and tumblr so much!
