Happy hump day! What other day of the week needs such a big injection of inspiration, except for perhaps Monday.
Anyway, we are off to a slow start here at Casa Lime Lane today, due to the school holidays, so posting has been a little scattered. So with other plans out the window, I thought I would quickly share some inspiring sites.
1. Your creative life:
These are the two sites run by Tara Gentile, but both cover creative living and small business issues, as well as showcasing indie and handmade artists. Find great advice and experience here.
2. Pictures:
Two very different but beautiful sites. A thing for brings together inspirational pictures from around the web into simple and beautiful mosaics. Abby, a beautiful photographer who shoots mainly in film, captures simple moments in the most beautiful way. Both are a feast for the eyes.
3. Life:
Kind Over Matter celebrates kind acts and feel-good nouns, if you are in need of a bit of a pick-me-up, then this is the place to go ~ beautiful photos, kindness downloads, inspiring stories are all here. Australians might recognise Sarah Wilson as a former host of Masterchef and editor of Cosmo. She now writes for the Sunday Life magazine. Here she writes a column about making life more meaningful, and I was delighted to find she also has a blog she updates regularly and expands on that theme.
4. Organisation:
Who doesn’t want to be more organised? Hands up if sometimes it feels like an eternal quest? There are plenty of sites out there on this topic but these are two I found recently that I got something out of. Bneato is the blog of a professional organiser in LA. Buttoned Up has a plethora of ideas and tips on what seems like everything.
5. Pick your poison:
Because everyone has different interests, I have picked out five sites {no means an exhaustive list} of sites I read daily:
- Beautiful interiors: you can’t go past Decor8, but may I also suggest Emma’s Design Blogge
- Jewellery: Make Under My Life ~ by Jess Constable, who has taken some big steps with her jewellery business and shares her experience in designing a life with intention.
- Food: For beautiful food photos head to Simply Photo, with recipes go to Tartlette and Cannelle et Vanille. I also love Smitten Kitchen ~ best cake tips ever.
- Stationery: Field Notes is full of lovely finds and Upon a Fold for unique paper products
- Art: Always in awe of artists, a shout-out to a couple of lovely Aussie artists pursuing their dreams: Tinniegirl and Chasing Purple Dreams
