Today I want to introduce you to Lakshmi, the creative talent behind doodle kreations.

Doodle Kreations offers colorful, bright paper goodness, with a range of stationery, personalised notecards, art prints and more. All the illustrations are hand drawn and digitally colored.

The wonderful prints are perfect for nurseries and children’s rooms and her cheerful notecards are sure to bring a smile to someone’s day.

Now did you know, Lakshmi is an architect by profession {I wanted to be an architect was younger so I’m in awe of her} and  she worked mostly on performing arts centres, laboratories and commercial buildings. Doesn’t that sound amazing?!

These days Lakshmi is at home with her little ones, with one taking the exciting step off to school this year. {I bet his teacher will be getting a set of that personalised teacher stationery!}

Originally from India, Lakshmi and her husband moved to the US before moving to Australia 2½ years ago.

Now she is sharing with us her lovely artwork and is also available to help with custom design work including banners, avatars and business cards.

Pop over to her shop and also check out her blog to find out a little bit more about Lakshmi.

my creative space: randomness and postcards

Can you believe Thursday is already here again? It would seems my head is still back in last Thursday, catching up on last week’s ‘s list of spaces, and my to do list has barely changed since a week ago. {in fact I have only managed to cross off one major project and add several others}.

Today I thought I had better get cracking on the creative collective february project ~ random kindness postcards ~ and my head is full of random thoughts. Ever have those mornings. Here’s some of the ramblings rolling around in my head:

  • Why is there a matchbox car still on my desk?
  • I must clean up the clutter.
  • My Firefox is running like it’s on dial-up ~ eventually I succumbed and cleaned up the too-many-to-count tabs that were open {more clutter} and restarted it. It seems to have worked. This has also taken a chunk of my morning.
  • It’s a cliche ~ but in the IT world, turning it off and turning it on again works about 90 per cent of the time.
  • That I’m truly grateful to live in a town, in the ‘burbs, on a hill,  where I don’t have to prepare for floods, tornadoes, bushfires or earthquakes.
  • Coffee. Just coffee.

And because I am, it would appear, turning into a hermit. I’m going to do my February postcard project a little differently. I hope the gals don’t mind.

If you email me your address before Friday 8am {AEDT}, I will select five people to randomly send a random act of kindness postcard to tomorrow. And I’m going to include a postcard download, like those pictured above, in the newsletter that will go out in the next few days. Sign up here if you haven’t already.

Pull up a chair and chat with the creative types over here.
