{tuesday’s top 5} spring photo ideas

{top 5} spring photo ideas

1. pink and bee, 2. ready for take-off, 3. four, 4. 80/365 ~ jobs for sunny days

Here in Australia, it will officially be spring on Thursday. After a somewhat dreary winter, photography wise, I’m looking forward to the colour spring will bring.

Today I thought I would give you five ideas for spring-inspired photos. It is such a great time of year to be out snapping.

  1. Blossoms ~ start now as the tiny buds form on the trees. Soon the gardens will be alive with colour and we will be spoilt for choice.
  2. Butterflies ~ tricky to catch but so worth it when you do. Hopefully we will see more start fluttering around the garden soon.
  3. Golden sun ~ The warmth of the sun in autumn and winter can’t be matched, particularly at sunrise and sunset. Capture the last few of the warm rays before the harsh light of summer arrives.
  4. Green grass ~ Is there anything better than sinking your bare feet in the cool of the long grass. Green is such a great fresh colour and a fantastic backdrop.
  5. Baby animals ~ Spring means new life, head out of town to capture some sweet lambs and calves in the paddocks. This is one for me for sure.

And maybe, if you are lucky, you might find a nest, see some baby birds or catch a rainbow.

Blue and white favorites! And the fabulous ladies of fPOE. Photography is still the most affordable art for your walls!

While it is not quite summer here yet, we seeing hints of spring ~ blue skies and white blossoms everywhere. This treasury reminds me of the palette I hope spring to be. Especially after years of drought, it will be nice to have a bountiful spring, green grass and full rivers and lakes.

feeling a bit prickly about Mondays

the barbed wire fence

I think the better the weekend, the harder it is to face Monday morning. What about you?

We had such a lovely weekend, beautiful sunshine, moving at our own pace, doing what we needed and wanted to do. I set myself a to do list first thing Saturday and spent the weekend off and on working through it. I didn’t get everything done but it was enough, and now I’m looking forward to finishing some of those projects off during the week.

So my list for this week includes the following:

  • Send out a newsletter ~ it’s that time again already. Sign up here
  • Put together a 2012 calendar for camera lovers. Due in the shop this week with some new vintage camera shots.
  • Hopefully share some exciting news about another project I’ve been working on
  • Sharing a new project over at the Creative Collective
  • Look forward to the official arrival of Spring.

I’ve also changed up the sharing buttons on the website. Feel free to tweet, stumble, like and digg and test them out.

It’s only Monday but do you have a  list for this week?
