{snapshot} connected

Take one chance moment, one photo, one web search and what do you get?

As much as I hate to admit it, I’m not feeling very inspired of late. And I hate this because I have a shiny new camera and really, I’m not feeling it.

Then I noticed the droplets in the web along the deck this foggy morn. I went outside with my camera to take a few shots, here, there. Heading back inside I spot some webs in the bare trees. Snap, snap, snap.

A fleeting moment of inspiration in a barren wasteland filled with busy, and work, and life.

Then these words make way for thoughts and plans and ignite the creative spark.

The trick is to keep it burning.

Take a breath ~ oxygen keeps the flame alight.

What are you doing this week to keep your creativity burning bright?

{groove pulp} feeling patriotic

This is a sponsored post

Have you been watching the Olympics? Got up early to catch the Opening Ceremony? Bleary-eyed after watching our girls win gold in the relay?

Nothing like the Olympics to get your patriotic groove on.

So a special weekend edition of {groove  pulp} with an Aussie flavour, sparked by this video of the collaboration between Australian musician Daniel Johns, the Australian Chamber Orchestra and Qantas, Atlas  forms the soundtrack for the new Qantas brand and Olympic advertising.

And an Aussie-flavoured mix tape, because our talent spreads far and wide and not just on sports fields.

I made this comment yesterday on Twitter, and it’s why I think it’s important to remember that, and as a country we are good at celebrating all achievements. A typical Saturday for us at this time of year involves one child heading off to various football matches ~ yesterday it was three ~ while the other one is at home, with me, catching up on his music practice, which yesterday featured another great Australian talent as he banged out a certain Goyte song.
