So I might have just found a new hobby to add to my photography arsenal. And I’m hooked. Time-lapse.
I shot this on Saturday evening of the sunset from one of the vantage points over the city. I had my mind set on doing something like this and researching Saturday afternoon, discovered there was a little tool that did it all for you. Alas, I did not have one and the camera shop was closed, so I stood there for an hour clicking my wireless camera remote roughly every 10 seconds in an effort to get this much footage.
Sunset Over the City from 74 Lime Lane.
Yes, time lapse requires some patience.
Anyway, it’s not brilliant, I already know how to improve and learnt a lot from my first little outing, but I had a blast. I’ve popped into the camera shop first thing this morning and got that little tool that takes control, so no more monotonous clicking for me, and I’m constantly thinking of things I might be able to do.
I’m loving my photography at the moment and I want to say a big thank you to all of you for your support and encouragement. And for your support for my new little venture Lime Lane Photography.
And, on that note, find time for this quick Monday morning film pack of links:
- Speaking of LLP {as I like to call it}, I’ve given in and set up it’s own Facebook page. I wasn’t going to but didn’t want to overload my lovely Lime Lane readers who may not be as into photography as me. So it has its own. It will continue the photography theme and includes updates from the blog and stock library. Pop over and like it if you are interested in just photography.
- And, the lovely Tam included one of the stock images on this great post, also about time. There’s been quite a few downloads so I loved seeing one of the images in the wild. If you use one please let me know.
- Keeping on the time theme, a great post on making time and space for your creative life.
