{the five} advent calendar ideas

{the five} advent calendaar

Clichéd as it sounds, I can’t believe it is December already {the 1st is is weekend, eek!} and it has only just occurred to me we need to get the Christmas tree out.

And then attention turns to an advent calendar. After last year, I daren’t miss out on this tradition already.

So I need something cool, fun and simple. And preferably quick.

Like these:

  1. From Poppytalk
  2. From Hey Look
  3. From oh Happy day {cant’ find trees? Pull apart a cheap Christmas tree!}
  4. From Mr Printables {my pick for the boys}
  5. From You Are My Fave

You can also see last year’s round-up here.

{download} time is marching on

March calendar download

Can you believe it? March, already. And we’ve even had an extra day!

And let’s just say that today’s list has been put aside somewhat while I went away and put together a pretty March calendar instead.

I was going to go green for St Patrick’s Day, but the rain has washed away my photography mojo today so instead, I found this beauty in the files instead, from drier times.

Roses are ubiquitous for both parts of the world at this time of year. Here we get an autumn flush of blooms (if you’ve looked after them right) and in the north, well I’m about to get quite envious as mentions of spring start creeping into tweets and blog posts.

So a little pink for your March. Don’t you want to just dive in and jump around in it’s ruffled depths. No, just me then?

Download the March calendar here

And also “march” on over to:

{The March calendar download is for personal use. Please feel free to share, in fact I would love you to,  but link back to this post. Thanks!}

{DIY pulp} quick teacher’s gift with download

quick teacher gift

The end of school nears and so does yet another deadline, the teacher’s gift. So I thought I would share a quick idea and download that you might be able to use in the stocking of your favourite teacher.

For you, and our favourite teachers, a one-page A4 2012 calendar featuring (i) a bouquet of freshly sharpened pencils and (ii) a vintage piano. These are for our school and music teachers.

I’m combining these with some handmade soaps and something yummy.

Or you can just use the calendar for yourself or for family and friends stocking stuffers.

It’s Christmas and I finally have a new printer ~ celebrations all round.

New month means a new project over at the Creative Collective. It’s time to finish ~ all those WIPs, all those half-finished projects in the back of the cupboard, time to get them out and get them done.

Details over here.

DIY ~ corks tutorials

One thing I’ve seen around a lot lately is cork tutorials. It’s like everyone knows I have a massive pile corks around the house. So here’s some fun tutorials to upcycle those cork hoards, some look so simple I might even give them a go!
