a right royal flash mob

Further proof Buck Palace is moving into the 21st century, Liz and Phil {well maybe their staff} secretly planned a flashmob to mark a royal reception honouring young people in the performing arts.

You know The British Monarchy have a website, their own flickr account, they tweet and they are on Facebook.

{apologies for the autoplay}

what the world needs now ~ is more crayons

Maybe we should develop a Crayola bomb as our next secret weapon.  A happiness weapon.  A beauty bomb.  And every time a crisis developed, we would launch one.  It would explode high in the air – explode softly – and send thousands, millions, of little parachutes into the air.  Floating down to earth – boxes of Crayolas.  And we wouldn’t go cheap, either – not little boxes of eight.  Boxes of sixty-four, with the sharpener built right in.  With silver and gold and copper, magenta and peach and lime, amber and umber and all the rest.  And people would smile and get a little funny look on their faces and cover the world with imagination.
~Robert Fulghum

I stumbled across this quote today and just had to share. I love it. What a great idea.

{my original ~ now vintage ~ crayola set}

Not to mention I love crayons.

getting your scarf on

Little known fact about me, or maybe not, but I love scarves. All through the year, most days. And I usually only wore them one or two different ways {which is why this won’t be turning into a fashion blog anytime soon}.

One day, I wanted to try something a little different.

Thanks to that little treasure trove Pinterest, I remembered a picture. I searched and found this pin ~ look at all those lovely options ~ went through this site to find all the answers.

So ever since, I’ve been wearing my scarves in the four in hand style.

How to Tie a Scarf ~ 37 ways in fact.

The best part ~ step-by-step instructions and video. Can’t go wrong!

Thanks to another scarf-loving friend, Sophie from Her Library Adventures, I also have this post on 12 ways to wear a winter scarf and this fun chart on how to wear a silk scarf.

I’m not kidding ~ a whole gallery of baby giraffes. A great way to start the week.

Thanks to Life.

because everyone loves talking animals, right?

You may have already seen this, or a version of it, as it has been going around the web for a couple of weeks at least.

But I thought I would share it anyway because it is quite funny and clever and we all need a bit of a laugh break every now and then.

Me, it’s Tuesday but feels like Thursday, I have just given a tradie a blast over bad service and my to do list isn’t getting any smaller.

But this, this always makes me feel better.

How’s your Tuesday panning out?
