One thing that has been on my to do list for a while is packaging for my shops. In fact on my list it says “review Lime Lane marketing materials”. I mean in all honesty, high on the list is “spend some time on shops” but one has to start somewhere.

I have lots of ideas buzzing around ~ when do we not ~ but can’t quite pin down a neat, little packaging idea that I am entirely happy with. I have a picture in my head but it is still a little blurry, if you know what I mean.

So two things:

1. I pull together some pretty packaging ideas ~ it’s fun, inspiring and helpful.
2. And I throw it open to you ~ what stands out for you when you receive a package from a handmade seller.

My “research” finds the following might be part of the list:

• it should be like opening a gift
• there should be a personal thank you note
• a free gift like a postcard or print
• a return discount voucher
• recycled wrapping
• eco-friendly wrapping
