{top 5} bookmark it ~ for the kids

So it’s school holiday time around Australia and while I enjoy not having to make school lunches and iron uniforms five days a week, I can do without the “But I’m bored” refrain that tends to ring out at some point during the fortnight off.

So today, five places to bookmark to help you navigate the endless hours that can make up school holidays. Places I’ve bookmarked for when I start to hear “I’m bored”  chant start to escape from their sweet, chocolate-stained  lips.

  1. For quiet time: booklists from the premier’s reading challenge, a handy site to get age-appropriate books for your bookworms.
  2. For craft time: Family fun ~ it’s a Disney site but it’s chock full of printables and crafts. My favourite was stumbling on to their Phineas and Ferb collection ~ sure to keep my pair entertained for hours!
  3. Movie time: Are you off to see The Lorax these holidays? Start here for a blog tour of movie-themed crafts.
  4. Adventure time: Kid’s Craft Weekly has a range of articles with ideas for every season. Look through the newsletters and articles for tons of ideas.
  5. Out and about time: What’s on 4 has sites across the world to help you find activities in your area.

Have you got a favourite go-to site to keep the kids entertained?
