Because you can only add so many blogs to your reader, I thought I’d revisit a few favourites today with some posts that I’ve bookmarked for later reading, reminding and responding. These in particular come from the starred folder in my Google Reader [I'm can't give it up yet, still living in denial].

  1. Julie [tractorgirl] promised me her ciabatta recipe and this week she delivered. Can’t wait to try it this weekend.
  2. Love Bri’s [designlovefest] advice on thinking of original ideas
  3. Watching Susannah [ink on my fingers] talk about your finding your way online. “Forget the wisdom.” Such great advice.
  4. Yummm ~ espresso mini muffins with chocolate ganache [tasty kitchen]
  5. Thinking about starting a productivity journal [time management ninja]

PS. You’ll have to excuse my tardiness today, have been investigating the new flickr ~ have you checked it out?

  1. The story of Crayola on design*sponge [I too am a fan ~ see here and here]
  2. Start the day on the right note with the “good mornings” site
  3. A hand mixer made of Lego
  4. The story of this award-winning polar bear photo ~ taken by a dentist!
  5. Fantastical worlds
  6. Bookmark! 10 shortcuts for better cooking
  7. Famed dances from the big screen illustrated
  8. And how Sesame Street got its name. 1-2-3 Avenue B doesn’t have the same ring to it.

From next week the smallest starts guitar lessons. So this beautiful short seemed appropriate today.

{the tuesday 5} things I’m loving this month

{the tuesday 5} things I'm loving in July

Sometimes I feel hemmed in by my own little blogging schedule. And that every new idea is just a variation on a theme. But despite all that, I’m changing things up a little today.  As good as a holiday and all that. And the smalls are on holidays so that’s close enough.

So I’ve decided to turn the top 5 into just the Tuesday five. And today, five things I’m using and loving right now:

  1.  Norah Jones’ new CD Little Broken Hearts ~ something different from her but I’m hooked and have it on repeat.
  2.  Canon 5d MK II ~ this is my new camera. Is one day too early for a declaration of love
  3.  Secret Chef slow cooker ~ its hardly a cooking blog I know but I’m loving my new slow cooker, using it on average three to four times a week. The searing function = gold!
  4. My mimxoxo iPad case ~ I’m a notoriously fickle gal {I blame my star sign} but I haven’t had the urge at all to switch my lovely felt iPad case. It’s so easy to use and slips in and out of my bag so easily, plus fits my bluetooth keyboard and smart cover. And it’s green!
  5. The Caran D’Ache Red Metal Pen ~ I got this as part of my quarterly package from swiss miss, and it really is a dream to write with.

autumn mood

It’s a busy weekend here at Lime Lane ~ the usual weekend sport, a sport-related presentation night, a birthday, not to mention Mother’s Day. I’m amazingly chilled about it all and just letting it happen. And so far it’s been grand.

You have a lovely weekend, you hear? And if you’re looking for some inspiration, start here ->
