snapping and snacking

Inbetween Monday sapping my mojo, I’ve got my head in the books. The virtual kind. {And hence a little radio silence!}

I’m catching up with some bloggy goodness via Blogging Your Way, inbetween snapping and snacking my way through Souvenir Foto School’s Food + Foto.

ASSIGNMENT 01::GRILLED FLAT BREAD + INFUSED OLIVE OILS

This was last week’s assignment ~ flatbreads and infused oils. This was my pick of shots, although I the depth of field is way too short and therefore distracting, but I liked the style.

And some outtakes. One thing I have already learned is there are umpteenth variations on how you could put together a shot.

assignment 1 - outtakes

This was my original concept, but I couldn’t quite get it to work like I had in my head.

assignment 1 - outtakes

And this was one technically better but lacked something, I thought it was perhaps a little dull.

A big thanks to Cat, too, whose naan bread recipe I used for the flatbread ~ it has never let me down.

d is for dough

I may have had the cookie cutters out again, too.

Today, I’m playing with the vagaries of balsamic vinegar and oil, among other things. Let’s just say it’s a little messy. And perhaps I should have paid a little more attention in science.
