I have long admired the work of Swedish illustrator Maja and been following her blog for some time. I love it when her posts of her her beautiful illustrations and designs, including some gorgeous patterns, pop into my RSS feed. I spotted one of my favourite illustrations ~ The Reader ~ on the Etsy blog recently. And Maja just opened an etsy store for her illustrations last month. Her work would look equally at home in a nursery or in your studio. In fact, I can picture a copy of The Reader hanging in my home …
Check out Maja’s beautiful work at her:
I first spotted the work of Alex Wijnen on The Bright Side Project, where one of her lovely prints was up for grabs.
But I was quite taken in. I love this style of illustration, the dandelion is my favourite, until I saw the typewriter.
But then the dandelion has the sweetest story to go with it:
“Dandelion Fluff” recalls the warm afternoon we taught our daughter how to make a wish and blow on her very own dandelion.
And how organised is Alex ~ she already has her 2011 calendars out. You can grab them here
