How much fun would an elephant slide be? It looks big enough for an adult to have a go, don’t you think. It’s a great reminder we all need to incorporate some play into our lives.

This week I also launched my dad’s blog. He likes words and grammar and it is a place for him to share his opinions and keep writing. Sounds every bit the retired journo! You can check it out here.

I hope you all had a :

Do you have words you love to say aloud? Serendipity is one of my favourite words. Although I’ve always loved the way the word onomatopoeia rolls off the tongue.

Truth be told, I’m terrible at pronunciation, which is why I stuck with print journalism rather than broadcast!

I can’t tell you how much this image sums me up!

I mean, I love being at home with my little family. But during the week, when the kids are in school, I relish just staying at home, by myself, for those six hours they are gone, content not to go anywhere or see anyone.

It might be my only child upbringing, it might be my introvert side, I don’t know, but I more than happy with my own company. And the internet!

This week was of course a big week with Lime Lane making the Top 100 for Kidspot’s Voices of 2013 in the Creative and Home category.

5/365 ~ drizzle

Photo by me from the archives ~ when my boys had tiny gumboots

It appears autumn has finally kicked summer to the kerb and I for one could not be happier. I’ve been immersing myself in the season this week on another project and even started a Pinterest board dedicated to my favourite season. I’m looking forward now to even cooler days and the turning of the leaves. Do you know that even has a name ? Feuillemort refers to the colour of a dying leaf. [I found that out here ~ a fabulous blog for word nerds!] Some highlights from the week:
