{pretty pulp} lovely packaging

One thing that has been on my to do list for a while is packaging for my shops. In fact on my list it says “review Lime Lane marketing materials”. I mean in all honesty, high on the list is “spend some time on shops” but one has to start somewhere.

I have lots of ideas buzzing around ~ when do we not ~ but can’t quite pin down a neat, little packaging idea that I am entirely happy with. I have a picture in my head but it is still a little blurry, if you know what I mean.

So two things:

  1. I pull together some pretty packaging ideas ~ it’s fun, inspiring and helpful.
  2. And I throw it open to you ~ what stands out for you when you receive a package from a handmade seller.

My “research” finds the following might be part of the list:

  • it should be like opening a gift
  • there should be a personal thank you note
  • a free gift like a postcard or print
  • a return discount voucher
  • recycled wrapping
  • eco-friendly wrapping

{paper trail} the hunt for the perfect diary

{paper trail} the hunt for the perfect diary

It suddenly hit me this week that it was almost the end of the year and I hadn’t bought a new diary yet. What was I thinking?

Despite my love and dependance on iDevices, I still love to have a paper and pen diary by my side. Even though I spend large periods of the year not looking at it. And there’s nothing better than starting the year with a fresh diary.

I thought I had left my run too late and all the ones I wanted were sold out, but then I spotted one perfect for my 2012 band quickly snapped it up.

Wonder if you can guess which one of these is on its way to my mailbox?

  1. Cavallini modern leather diaries in a range of colours from The Paperie
  2. For the birds weekly planner by Cavallini & Co at Nation State
  3. kikki k has diaries in beautiful soft pastels including the Botansika and the Sundae range
  4. New York state of mind hardcover agenda diary by Cavallini & Co at Zetta Florence
  5. Delfonics diary in light green from Nation State
  6. Can’t beata  classic ~ the Moleskine range from Notemaker
  7. Rebound diary ~ heaps to choose from ~ available at Nation State
