{seeds} unless …

unless someone like you ...

We went to see The Lorax today. It was such a visual feast ~ I love the way these movies bring the Seussical worlds to life. I saw mixed reviews but I thought it was great ~ not too long, funny moments musical numbers and some bits only the adults will get.

I haven’t done a {seeds} post for a while so it seemed only fitting to throw one in today.

I loved the “unless” monument and this quote, which they displayed at the end. You only need one person to plant that seeds, and then a whole army of  ”someones” can work to make things better. I’m hoping my children took away some really simple but effective messages from the movie.

Coming home, I was poking around YouTube and found the original cartoon of The Lorax and I also started a Seussical channel. The Sneetches are among our favourites.

Oh, and you’re looking for a {zesty find} ~ look no further than these Lorax chucks by Converse.

friday freebie: a birthday printable

We all know someone having a birthday at some point, and it wouldn’t be a Friday, or a bloggy birthday, without a printable and a little bit of Seuss love now, would it?

So here’s a print, a letter-sized pdf so it fits universally on all printers. Use it for someone special on their birthday, or print two to a page {an option in Acrobat} to make cards.

That’s right. Happy birthday Dr Seuss, born on this day in 1904. You didn’t think I would let this day just pass by now did you?

And it feels only fitting to fill the day with all things Seussical.

friday freebie: oh, the Places you’ll go

There was quite the enthusiastic response to my top 5 dr seuss quotes the other day, so today I thought I would share something I have wanted to do for a long time, and that is put my skills to work on a print.

So I have taken one of those wonderful Seussical quotes for a Seussical themed inspiration print. And to share and share alike, I have also made it into a notecard as well.
