I was checking out the new Suggested Shops feature on Etsy {as I know many f you already have but if you haven’t it is in your Favourites section} and, while I saw a lot of familiar names, the work of Angela Vandenbogaard caught my eye. A while ago I downloaded a piece Angela shared [...]

Doane Paper’s tagline is grid+lines. Sold. Their products combine grid and lines on a single sheet of paper and include jotters, notebook and writing instruments.
I can never resist a good stationery line. They also offer some free downloads.

I have long been admiring the work of British designer Jane Foster. Jane bold designs come in prints, totes, cards and cushions and also designs for Clothkits. Not to mention her blog is a treasure trove of colourful vintage finds. I am particularly enamoured with these vintage caravan collages which aren’t in the shop yet.

Don’t you hate when just as you prepare to post something you find out it has just been done. This is me right now, although I am forging ahead.
I have mentioned I am doing a major clean-out and reorganisation of my bookmarks and starred items in my Google Reader. So many great ideas lost in [...]

I have been waiting for Casey’s paper + twine shop to reopen since she had the adorable Noah a few months ago. I have long been eyeing off her inspiration logs, not to mention a set of the vintage camera cards.
I’m off to place my order now.

lime light: inner earth soaps
April 13th, 2010 – 1 Comment
Something a little different this week, as I went searching on etsy, but also some serendipitous timing. Some of Erin’s vanilla bean lip balm would be perfect as the cooler weather sets in. Or perhaps some of her delicious soaps for a warm bath on an autumn evening.
Erin makes cold process soaps, body butters, lip [...]

Despite my interest in photography, it has actually been a while since I featured a photographer on lime light. But when I saw the work of Agnieszka on the Photographers of Etsy blog I immediately bookmarked it.
Agnieszka is from Poland and captures stunning moments of nature. You can see the interview on the POE blog [...]

I have featured Helena’s work before in my lime light Christmas round-up, when I used her sweet tote bags to wrap handmade gifts for friends. But I thought it was remiss of me not to have highlighted all her other wonderful work. Her shop is full of wonderful illustrations you can buy as prints, notebooks, [...]

lime light: uimi

According to the calendar, it is supposed to be autumn around these parts. The 30-degree {that’s celsius for you foreigners} days say otherwise.
However, a girl can dream and this girl is dreaming of days where jeans and scarves is de rigueur. Lisa featured scarves from Uimi on the red thread a couple of weeks ago [...]

lime light: tractorgirl
March 16th, 2010 – 1 Comment
There are a lot reasons why I picked tractorgirl for this week’s lime light, even though she is fairly new on my radar.
First off, geographically speaking, she’s practically my neighbour. Well, relatively speaking and as close as I know in blog land at the moment.
Second, I adore her work, her cushions are a particular favourite [...]
