Happy weekend! Have you got anything fun things* planned? Hubby and I are off to some traditional pre-wedding fun ~ buck’s and hen’s gatherings! I’m looking forward to a little fun time. It’s all in and around town and all very casual so it should be a great day!

This picture I think sums up my week. Lots of working beneath the surface but very little to show for it!

In the meantime, some lovely links for your weekend reading:

*Speaking of fun things, it’s Saturday and I’m sharing fun links over on Twitter under #74funthings. Feel free to share your own ~ just use the hashtag so we can find them.

candy flowers

Welcome to the weekend and another edition of lovely links.

I saw this on Twitter this morning {via AGemStudio} and thought it was absolutely lovely:

May the moments of today string themselves together & your end of the day be decorated in a line of twinkling lights

Here’s to a twinkly kind of day.

{lime link love} edition I

yesterday

Doing things a little differently today. Change is as good as a holiday and all that.

I’m looking forward to a much quieter two days this weekend, pottering around home, catching up, getting ready for some nine-year-old birthday celebrations.

Even on a quiet weekend, there’s always still plenty to do. But amid the hustle and bustle, you might like to make time for these:

If you are heading out, don’t forget the sunscreen and the hayfever tablets. Oh wait, that’s me.

{monday} a return to “normal”

centre yourself

Well here we are again at the start of another week, and the harsh reality of returning to “normal” ~ whatever that is.

Today, the small people head back to school, I head back to work to a crazy schedule and our week will be filled with homework, readers and after-school activities.

All this with the knowledge that Christmas is only 76 sleeps away.

I know, as if Monday needed to get any worse.

So as I sit here, with the sun still rising over the hills, I remind myself that the day ahead may be a little crazy but to take it one hour at a time. Do each thing as it comes, keep my expectations ~ and to do list ~ realistic and it will all be okay in the end.

Yesterday, I posted a quote for blogtoberfest about Sundays. It is a simple thought but looking back, so true. I spent yesterday mainly on the couch, with nothing pressing to do, a simple day just sitting, talking with my little family, watching car racing {I know but we know one of the drivers well which is why it held so much interest for us} and just being. Although there were plenty of things I could be doing, it was nice to just let it all go for day. I consider a Sunday “well-spent”.

Sitting there, sometimes doing some web-surfing on my iPad, I also found some great links so I’m going to kick off Monday with some great stumbleupon finds and I hope your day is a good one, even if it is a little crazy.

And today’s the last chance to win a copy of *bespoke*. Enter here
