{paper trail} fun food-inspired gifts for your friendly masterchefs

{paper trail} for foodie friends

So Masterchef is over for another season. I actually managed to watch a few episodes this year and I for one won’t be making a gingerbread house anytime soon. Or a carrot snowman dessert.

Are your friends busy in the kitchen, hosting dinner parties, recreating dishes?

If you are heading to someone’s house this weekend, don’t go empty handed, take them a one of these foodie-inspired gifts {or get something for yourself}:

{paper trail} the thank you card shop

the thank you cards shop

You might remember Amy from Field Trip, she featured in the 74 ways interview series last year.

Sometime ago, BC, {Before new, fast Computer}, Amy emailed me to tell me about her new venture: the thank you cards shop.

That email is languishing on my old computer but thankfully Amy emailed last week about her new range which features a range of designs including chevron stripes and airmail ticking.

The Thank You Cards Shop is exactly that, a shop filled with different thank you cards, for weddings, children or just because, bringing together Amy’s love of stationery and her graphic design background.

A collection of these cards would be perfect for the thank you card kit I keep meaning to put together for myself.

{paper trail} a little hut

I rediscovered a little hut this week via stumble upon {so loving this site at the moment}.

Patricia, a graphic designer, runs a little hut which brings together her love of making things with her love of paper, and has released her first book Home, Paper, Scissors.

Her online shop is stocked with a range of digital cutting files and printables you can do yourself.

Love the little love blocks and the little gift boxes!

{paper trail} vintage ephemera with saratops

{paper trail} saratops

Rookie mistake ~ I thought these items from saratops were actually in my “You might like” stream. Let’s just say they are now.

If you haven’t seen it, saratops is currently the featured seller on Etsy.

But that’s how I  found, and maybe bought, some lovely items from this shop filled with vintage map bunting, notebooks made from security envelopes and library cards and banners made from book pages.

Sara, who lives in LA, says she is inspired by the vintage ephemera she finds and uses in her items.

I love yellowed paper, old ticket stubs, and previously loved books. My materials alone inspire me to think of how they can be reused and given a new life.

Be sure to pop over and browse saratops’ shop.
